DREAMS OF FLYING, FLOATING, SWIMMING, Etc.

Dreams of Flying, Floating, Falling, Swimming, etc.

Drowning in libido, fragrance is
what perfume does. To be like a bird
its silk dress blown open. Angels lifting me
into the clouds. Is this the reach of the sky?
Lifted above sunken fountains on wings of fire.
Walking along narrow streets, waves
on waves, passing in & out of suites
of rooms pursued by bulls & leaping horses.
Under rivers of stars, falling amid
trembling shadows, into a little house
between two stately palaces atop the citadel
of Prague, all in vast disorder. The thatched gate
for the first time, is opened to you, diving
into its darkness, a pale moon mirrored
in untrammeled thought.
